Trying to make a complicated argument appear visually arresting while still communicating the intricacies of the message can be challenging. This vector visual was created for the REDD+ framework which is designed to protect forests across the world. The aim was to show the size of the operation and compare its global baseline deforestation predictions with the actual forest loss that later occurred. Social media versions were also made, breaking each step down into reformatted individual images with accompanying text.
A strategist and I distilled two briefs from the Bahraini government into a series of economic facts promoting foreign direct investment. I then illustrated these in a simple yet compelling manner, trying to find threads of continuity wherever possible.

Icons are an incredibly useful communicative tool. In order to maximise their function and appeal, a job may sometimes require a bespoke style or meaning that needs to be created from scratch.
The image below was a set of icons created for International SOS. The company offers security and medical care for people working outside their home country and they needed a large set of simple icons with which to establish their visual lexicon (unconstrained by
language barriers), plus a book of guidelines that would help them create further symbols on their own. The icons had several different forms to account for the differing requirements and print capabilities likely to be encountered across the globe.
